He was predeceased by : his children, Lloyd Lowe and Rhonda Swinford; his parents, Roy Lowe and Essie Lowe; his siblings, J. B. Swinny, G. A. Lowe, James Lowe and Martha Rollins; and his grandson Jacob Lowe.

He is survived by : his wife Anna Lee Lowe; his son Richard; his daughters-in-law, Suzanne Lowe and Janice Lowe; his sister Eva Jean Rann; and his grandchildren, Josh, Valery Lowe, Shane, Klara Holden, Jeremy, Lacey Lowe, Kevin Swinford, Michael and Jennifer Swinford. He is also survived by several great-grandchildren, and nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributions be made to cancer research.
