Patricia Ann (Swinney) Murray Obituary

Patricia Ann Swinney Murray, 73, of Varnell, Georgia went home to be with The Lord on Sunday, March 13, 2022 at her residence surrounded by her loving family by her side. Born October 4, 1948, Patricia was a lifelong resident of Varnell, Georgia. She was a loving Wife, Momma and Mamaw. She loved sewing, was an excellent cook, and always loved spending time with her family. She was a member of Varnell Baptist Church and most importantly she loved The Lord.
Patricia is preceded in death by her Mother and Father, Ruby and Norman Swinney as well as her sister, Margaret (Jerry) Swinney Starnes; and brother-in-law, Charles “Leonard” Brock.
Those left to cherish her memory include her Husband of 56 years, Randall Ross Murray of Varnell, GA.; Children Gary Murray of Varnell, GA.; Two Sisters, Reida Moree of Cohutta, GA. and Wanda Brock of Dalton, GA.; Brother, Donald (Mary Helen) Swinney of Chatsworth, GA.; Four Grandchildren, Ross (Katie) Murray, Casey Murray, Brittany Murray (Curtis) Griffin , Eaan Wilson , Along with Great Grandchildren Ellie Griffin, Harley Murray and Janet Murray; several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held 4-9 P.M. Wednesday at the funeral home. Funeral services will be held 2:00 P.M. Thursday, March 17, 2022 at Varnell Baptist Church with Bro. Bret Bellamy officiating She will lie-in-state 12-2 P.M. at the church on Thursday. Interment will follow at Varnell Cemetery.
