He was predeceased by: his parents, Harry Hill and Edna Hill (Smith); and his brothers, Douglas and Ashley Hill. He is survived by: his sibling Rivers League; his friend Sonny Shroyer; his grandchildren, Lance Walker (Ashley) of Valdosta, Jason Walker (Whitney), Travis Hill of Valdosta, Lauralee Beauregard (Matt) of Waycross, GA. and Grant Tison of Waycross, GA.; and his great grandchildren, Hannah Walker and Mason Walker. He is also survived by three children.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Langdale Hospice House, ACTO-Alzheimer's Caregiver Time Out, or the Gideons.
