He was predeceased by: his mother Mary Jane Burgess (Brenda Burgess); his son Shane Burgess; and his sister Nell Gay. He is survived by: his children, Larry Burgess of Valdosta, Georgia and Sabrina Williams (Ivan) of Barney, Georgia; his grandchildren, Travis Williams (Sarah), Scott Burgess (Devae), Ashley Williams (Anthony Manning), Dalton Burgess (Stephanie) and Hunter Burgess (Lorin Fletcher); his great grandchildren, Emily Williams, Jada Manning, Cotton Manning and Delaney Burgess; his siblings, Elverta Gay (late Howard) of Barney, Willie Cordell (Bill) of Tavares, Florida and Franklin Burgess (late Linda) of Lake Park; and his brother-in-law Gene Gay of Barney, Georgia. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family.
