It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Vivian Martin of Valdosta, Georgia, born in White Springs, Florida, who passed away on November 16, 2023, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Hardy Barwick and Elsie Brown Barwick; her former husband Ethridge Dell Bennett; her husband James "Jim" Martin; her grandson-in-law Alan Michael Lester; her sisters, Faye Hendley and Nell Martin; and her stepmother Lena Barwick.
She is survived by: her sons, Wayne Bennett (Beth) of Valdosta, GA and Hardy Bennett (Donna) of Valdosta, GA.; her grandchildren, Hardy Bennett Jr., Haley Bennett, Heather Lester and Ashley Smith Christopher Bennett (Justin); her great grandchildren, Adalynn Bennett, Shlay Lester, Kinley Lester, Tanner Smith, Avah Smith and Taylor Smith; and her siblings, Bruce Barwick Jr. of Valdosta and Linda Marlett of Valdosta, GA.. She is also survived by nieces, nephews.
