She was predeceased by: her mother Ruth Jane Ward; her husband George Benjamin Lord, Jr.; and her brother Clif Newsom. She is survived by: her children, Eric Lord of Valdosta, Georgia and Angie Lord (Mike Kufrovich) of Hahira, Georgia; her brother David Newsom (Brenda) of Lake Butler, Florida; her nephews, Shawn Newsom (Emily) of Lake Butler, Florida and Ashley Newsom (Colleen) of Lake Butler; and her sister-in-law Kathy Newsom of St. Augustine, Florida..

The family suggest memorials be made to the Hospice of South Georgia, 2263 Pineview Drive, Valdosta, Georgia 31602 and/or The Retirement Home for Horses, 20307 North County Road 237A, Alachua, Florida, 32615.
