He is survived by: his mother Voleta Orene Spells of Valdosta, Georgia; his daughter Megan Spells (David Scalf) of Tifton, Georgia; his grandchildren, Sophia Scalf and Easton Scalf; his siblings, Bill Spells (Lori) of Jasper, Johnny Spells (Carolyn) of Jasper, Debbie Allen (Zane) of Valdosta and Marty Spells (Elizabeth) of Pine Mountain, Georgia; his sister-in-law Tammy Spells of Valdosta, Georgia; and his close friend Danny Kelley of Mississippi. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews.
