She was predeceased by: her parents, Charlie Bennett and Aline Bennett; her husband Julian R. Downing; and her children, Dianne Swails, Jimmy R. Downing and Judy Downing.

She is survived by: her daughter Joyce; her sons-in-law, Robert Hardee of Pinetta, FL and Thomas Swails of Valdosta; her grandchildren, T. J. Swails (Kristen), Sharon Hardee and Jennifer Gosseck (Joseph); her great grandchildren, Jessica Wills, Katherine Rodriguez, Roxanne Gosseck, Junior Gosseck, Cameron Swails and Macy Swails; and her great great grandchild Braden McMillan.
