Sterling Nichols Jr. Obituary

With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Sterling Nichols Jr. of Valdosta, Georgia, who passed away on November 10, 2024 at the age of 77. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Sterling Jackson Nichols and Ruth Ann Nichols (Crabtree); his siblings-in-law, Fane Dampier, Laverne Terry, Andy Seglar, Bill Lott, David Mosley, Darvin Mosley and Theresa Brown; and his parents-in-law, Orene Mosley and James L. Mosley.

He is survived by: his wife Brenda Sue Nichols of Valdosta, Georgia; his children, Paul Nichols (Jennifer) of Washington State, Jeff Nichols (Christy) of Clearmont, Florida, Bryan Nichols of DeFuniak Springs, Florida, T. J. Fleetwood (Morgan) of DeFuniak Springs, Florida, Ashton Hayes (Nathaniel) of Lake Park, Georgia and James Nichols (Kayla) of Clearwater, Florida; his siblings, Margaret Terry of Virginia and Robert Nichols (Stephanie) of North Carolina; his siblings-in-law, Martha Sapp (Ricky) of Lake Park, Georgia, Marie Flemming (Sam) of Valdosta, Georgia, Delphine Street (Jimmy), Emily Day (Daniel) of Valdosta, Georgia, Jenny Hearn (Ricky) of Pooler, Georgia and Keith Anderson (Gwen) of Valdosta, Georgia; and his pet Daisy. He is also survived by 15 grandchildren.

Visitation was held on Saturday, November 16th 2024 from 1:30 PM to 2:00 PM at the Riverview Memorial Gardens (3945 N Valdosta Rd, Valdosta, GA 31602). A memorial service was held on Saturday, November 16th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
