The passing of Sonya Kae Herring of Valdosta, Georgia, born in Parkersburg, West Virginia leaves a void in the hearts of many, as we bid farewell to a loving soul who departed on December 19, 2024 at the age of 57. She was predeceased by: her parents, Harold Lawson and Judith Lawson; and her brother Harold Lawson, Jr.. She is survived by: her husband Mike; her children, Sarah Herring Bell (Charlie), Hannah Herring, Rebekah "Gracie" Johnson (Joey) and Eli Herring; her granddaughter Lily Johnson; and her sisters, YaVonda Sheppard (Gary) and Vanessa Spencer (Jeff). She is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and in-laws.
Visitation will be held on Monday, December 23rd 2024 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Calendar Carson McLane Funeral Home (2215 N Patterson St, Valdosta, GA 31602). A memorial service will be held on Monday, December 23rd 2024 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to a local Humane Society or charity of choice.
