It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Sharon Dorminey Hughes of Valdosta, Georgia, who passed away on October 8, 2020, at the age of 59, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Clifford Dorminey and Martha Mitchell Dorminey; and her brothers, Hershel Dorminey and Morris E. Dorminey. She is survived by: her husband Richard Hughes of Valdosta; her children, Joseph Brownfield, Jr. of Maryland, Elizabeth Silva of Virginia, Christina, James Dearman of Valdosta and Katelyn Hughes of Statesboro; her grandchildren, Hayleigh Silva and Brianna Dearman; and her siblings, Larry (Charlene Dorminey), Jackie (David Tribout) and Janice McGraw of Atlanta.

In lieu of flowers, it is requested that donations be made to The Humane Society of Valdosta/Lowndes County, 1740 W Gordon St, Valdosta, GA 31602.
