With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Sara Jones Fleming of Valdosta, Georgia, who passed away on February 23, 2025 at the age of 89. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Quillie Wade Jones, Sr. and Mary Bennett Moore Jones; and her siblings, Quillie Wade Jones Jr., Foster Jones, Carson Jones, Marley Jones, Edith Bridges, Annie Ward, Mattie Lou Flowers, Louise Whitehurst, Mary Evelyn Cherven and Irma Kirby.
She is survived by: her son Don Fleming; her daughter-in-law Margaret Bodde of Mount Claire; her daughter Charlotte Fleming Guthrie of Adel; her grandchildren, Clint (Jessica Hale), Virginia, Katherine (Casey Bowers) and Anna Fleming (John Fleming); her great grandchild Dennis Blaine Bowers of Moriah; and her sister Betty Coppage of Waycross, Georgia. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, March 1st 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Adel Wesleyan Church (214 S Hutchinson Ave, Adel, GA 31620). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, March 1st 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Saturday, March 1st 2025 at 2:45 PM at the Antioch Church Cemetery (4564 Antioch Rd, Adel, GA 31620).
