It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Roger Royster Jr. (Valdosta, Georgia), born in Sylvester, Georgia, who passed away on August 13, 2020, at the age of 76, leaving to mourn family and friends. He is survived by: his children, Alyssa Ledonna and Roderic Shawn; his wife Mary Ellen Royster; his son Marcus Alexander, Sr.; his grandson Marcus Alexander, Jr.; his aunt Hattie Bishop Mitchell; his siblings, Clarence Dixson (Anne), Larry Royster, Leonard Royster (Diane), Faye McLaughlin, Dorothy Ferdinand (Richard), Velma Pompey, Cynthia Porter (Anthony) and Brenda Royster; his siblings-in-law, Herbert Wells (Vermatine), Patrick Shaw, Carletha Felton, Gail Ledon, Sylvia Evans (Herman) and Corliss Griffin (James); and his goddaughter Jessica Gray. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family and friends.
