He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank Eilers and Henrietta Eilers. He is survived by: his wife Julie Eilers; his children, Freddie Thomason (Barbara) of Orlando, J. L. Payne (Stephanie) of Valdosta, Georgia and Tiffanie Lohr (Jeremie) of Denver, Colorado.; and his grandchildren, Samuel, Marisa, Gracie, Dustin and Levi Eilers (April). He is also survived by numerous brothers, sisters, nieces, nephews and extended family.

The family requests that in lieu of flowers contributions be made in Rich's honor to the youth building fund at the Quitman Church of God.
