We bid farewell to Nellie Lokey Stokes of Valdosta, Georgia, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on February 13, 2025 at the age of 86. Nellie Lokey touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. She was predeceased by: her parents, Felton Marion Lokey and Mary Ellen Hill Lokey; and her siblings, Juanita Marion Lokey Courson, Ruth Ethel Lokey Downing, Horace Felton Lokey and Terry Lee Lokey.
She is survived by: her husband Albert Lewis Stokes, Sr.; her children, Albert L. Stokes, Jr. (Pamela) of Smith Station, AL and Debra Duke (Jim) of Goldsboro, NC; her siblings, Mary Frances Lokey Jones of Titusville, FL and K. L. Lokey (Earlene) of Valdosta, GA; and her sisters-in-law, Bobbie Lokey and Phyllis Lokey. She is also survived by eight grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Saturday, February 15th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Calendar Redland Baptist Church (4888 Rocky Ford Rd, Valdosta, GA 31601). A funeral service was held on Saturday, February 15th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
