She was predeceased by: her parents, Willie Murry and Mary Williams; her husband James Waters; her children, Eddie B. Waters and Bernice Waters; and her sister Flossie Bryant.

She is survived by: her children, Doris Cephus of Valdosta, GA, Hazel Edgecomb of Valdosta, GA, Betty Jackson of Valdosta, GA, Richard Waters (Earnestine) of Valdosta, GA, James P. Waters of Winter Haven, FL, Barbara Rivers (Willie) of Winter Haven, FL and Jackie Waters of Miami, FL. She is also survived by one god-daughter: Bobbie Johnson; one god-son: Steven Trice; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins.
