With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Melissa Jane Gibson (Valdosta, Georgia), born in Charlotte, North Carolina, who passed away on January 15, 2021 at the age of 40. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her grandparents, Waddell Gibson, D. E., Mary Jo Fultz, Charles, Hallie Funderburke, Racy and Nonnie Parrish.
She is survived by: her parents, Scott Keith Gibson and Martha Jane Fultz Parrish; her sister Jennifer; her brother-in-law Nick Godfrey of Fort Mill; her brothers, Brian Parrish of Apopka and Michael (Jan Parrish); and her grandmother Avis Gibson of Fort Mill. She is also survived by several loving aunts, uncles, and cousins.
In lieu of flowers, the family appreciates donations to the charity of your choice if you so desire. In memory and in honor of her Grandmothers, Melissa supported the Alzheimer's Association as a cause near to her heart.
