It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Maxine Rountree Lawrence of Valdosta, Georgia, who passed away on December 23, 2024, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. Viewing was held on Saturday, December 28th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 7:00 PM at the Godfrey Funeral Home (636 River St, Valdosta, GA 31601). A celebration of life was held on Sunday, December 29th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the Hayes Chapel Baptist Church (15838 Adel Hwy, Barney, GA 31625). Due to COVID-19, Godfrey Funeral Home will be enforcing social distancing and following the Center for Disease Control (CDC) guidelines.
