It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Mary Joann Jernigan of Valdosta, Georgia, who passed away on January 17, 2024, at the age of 80, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, J. C. McLeod and Jewell McLeod (Courson); and her sister Norma Jean Porter. She is survived by: her husband Wayne Jernigan; her children, Jeff Jernigan (Denise) of Valdosta, Georgia, Cam Jernigan (Crystal) of Valdosta, Georgia, Julie Green (Greg) of Valdosta, Georgia and Cindy Hughes (Anthony) of Valdosta, Georgia; her grandchildren, Frazier, Jennifer (Josh), Bailee (Logan), Lillie Beth, Colton, Ryann, Kaylee, Daniel (Alexis), Micah and Andrew; and her great grandchildren, Camden, Ryleigh, Peyton, Maddie, Bo and Carson. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews.
