With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Mary Elizabeth Devan of Valdosta, Georgia, born in Jasper, Indiana, who passed away on September 28, 2021 at the age of 79. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Mary Elizabeth Devan to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Herbert Schutz and Marjorie Schutz (Marsee); and her stepdaughters, Kimberly S. Carroll and Michele L. Perricone. She is survived by: her husband Robert E. DeVan of Valdosta, Georgia; her children, Suzan R. Strickland of Greensboro, NC and H. Scott Brenner of Morton, Ill; her sister Carol Tangen of Escondido, California; and her brother-in-law Jerry Tangen of Escondido, California.. She is also survived by numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105 or to the Shriners Hospital, 950 West Faris Road, Greensville, SC 29605.
