She was predeceased by: her parents, Harvey Beecher and Opal Irene Beecher; her husband Jimmy Ellis; her daughter Elaine Brooks; and her sisters, Maudine Pair and Patsy Hartwell.
She is survived by: her son Roger Ellis of Valdosta, Georgia; her grandchildren, Marc Dame (Brandie) of Adel, Georgia and Melanie Dame of Valdosta, Georgia; her great grandchild Bayleigh Dame; her brothers, Les Beecher of Brunswick, Georgia and Roy Beecher (Ava) of Hazelhurst, Georgia; and her close friend Nelly Aba.
