She was predeceased by: her children, Daniel Gunn and Kathleen Gunn Angeles; her former husband Curtis Gunn; and her siblings, Katherine Fager-Gunn, Lucille Williams and William McGarity.

She is survived by: her husband Ralph R. Waters of Valdosta; and her children, Cynthia Lowell (Bernard) of Santa Rosa, CA and David Gunn (Linda) of Jacksonville, FL. She is also survived by seven grandchildren, sixteen great grandchildren, and two great great grandchildren.
