She is survived by: her husband Carroll Edward "Ed" Hightower; her sons, Ed Hightower Jr. (Rita) of Valdosta and Ben Hightower (Bridgitte) of Valdosta; her grandchildren, C. E. Hightower III (Elizabeth), Heather Davis Valdosta (Clay), Briggs Hightower (Athens), John Holcombe Valdosta (Chelsea), Wayne Boseman (Gretchen) and Mark Boseman Red Oak (Allyson); her great grandchildren, Graham Hightower, Jonah Hightower and Micah Boseman; and her siblings, Hollis Peace and Ann Bray. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
