She was predeceased by: her father Joe Talmadge Courson; and her son Ruil Cox, Jr.. She is survived by: her son Joel; her daughter-in-law Teresa Cox of Houston, Texas; her daughter Wendy; her son-in-law Derick Evans of Valdosta; her grandchildren, Ashley Polk, Nina (Cody Hammock), Barbara Cox, Ryan (Jasmine Evans) and Luke Evans; her great grandchildren, Aurora Evans and Asher Evans; and her sisters, June Adams and Revonda Golden. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
