He was predeceased by: his parents, Leonard Cardwell and Hazel Cardwell (Martin); his wife Wynette Cardwell (Strickland); and his siblings, Kelly Cardwell of Kingsport, TN, Jerry Cardwell of Kingsport, TN, Jack Cardwell of Kingsport, TN, David Cardwell of Kingsport, TN, Betty Cardwell and Jenny Cardwell.
He is survived by: his daughter Jeri Washington (Will); and his grandchildren, Cole Carter of Pinetta, FL and Tillman Washington of Pinetta, FL. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews.
