She was predeceased by: her father Ed Lassiter; her husband Malgrum Denzel "Buddy" Meeks; and her siblings, Alma Davis, Jewel Blanton, Ruby Barfield, Mary Lou Wise and Tally Lassiter.
She is survived by: her sons, Kenny (Beth Meeks) of Valdosta and Roger (Barbara Meeks) of Valdosta; her grandchildren, Kenny, Jr., Jessie Meeks of Naylor, Kyle, Courtney Meeks of Lake Park, Roger, Jr., Kristen Meeks of Morven, Derry and Nikkie Meeks of Barney; and her stepgrandchildren, Terry, Christina Godwin of Brunswick, James Godwin of Pooler, Giles and Angel Godwin of Valdosta. She is also survived by numerous great grandchildren.
