We bid farewell to Kathleen Macy Pittman Hutchinson of Valdosta, Georgia, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on March 9, 2025 at the age of 89. Kathleen Macy Pittman touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. She was predeceased by: her parents, Deso Pittman and Macy Beverly Pittman; her husband Jack C. "Papa Jack" Hutchinson; her sister Barbara Ann; her brother-in-law Harry Boyette; her brothers, Donald Pittman and Lamar Pittman; and her brother-in-law Henry Carter.
She is survived by: her children, Gary (Kathy Hutchinson) of Valdosta, Gaye (Ricky Lightsey) of Lake Park and Don (Dana Hutchinson) of Valdosta; her sisters, Jean (Terry Griffin) and Wanda Carter (Lovie Pittman) of Evans, GA; and her grandchildren, Kristen (Ivy Dees), Kelly (Joel Pittsley), Justin (Kim Lightsey), Lance (Heather Lightsey), Logan Hutchinson and Landon (Katherine Hutchinson). She is also survived by 10 great grandchildren, and several special nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Friday, March 14th 2025 from 12:30 PM to 2:00 PM at the Calendar Carson McLane Funeral Home (2215 N Patterson St, Valdosta, GA 31602). A funeral service was held on Friday, March 14th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to the Georgia Bible Camp or Latin American Missions.
