He was predeceased by: his parents, Elmer Sr. Williams and Pauline McKenzie Williams. He is survived by: his wife Susan Williams of Valdosta; his daughters, Stephanie (Jeramie Cheshire) and Ashley (Justin Watson); and his grandchildren, Brooke (Damon Evans), Blaire (Lloyd Herford), Robert Jr. (Wil), Ashlie Larimore, Sydney Garcia, Tyler Cheshire and Averi Gravitt. He is also survived by seven great-grandchildren.
