He is survived by: his children, Casey and Courtney VanderPloeg; his grandson Cade Finney; his siblings, John (Terry), James VanderPloeg (Pam) and Marie Conroy (Jerald); his nephews, Scott and Tom VanderPloeg; and his niece Caitlin Powell (Ryan).
