He was predeceased by: his parents, Homer L. Lightsey and Annie Laura Lightsey (Register); and his siblings, Howard Lightsey, Ruby Carolyn Conner and Debbie Kluyber.

He is survived by: his siblings, David Lightsey, Betty Ann Norville of Valdosta, GA, Patricia Pitts (Jimmy) of Valdosta, GA, Janice Logue (Don) of Valdosta, GA and Jeannie Hill (Ed) of Monrovia, CA. He is also survived by Several nieces and nephews.
