She was predeceased by: her parents, Wilbur Earnest Crosby and Alma Liles Crosby; her husband Clyde Short; her daughters, Joni Futrill and Jill Burkett; and her sisters, Marie Price, Wilma Sharps, Laverne Norton and Martyle Barwick.
She is survived by: her children, Juli Maddux (Jim) of Albany and Jeff Short of Valdosta; her sister Jean Miller (Jerry) of Moultrie; her grandchildren, Walker Mobley, Lauren Doyle (Louisa), Jacob Burkett, Hannah Burkett and Rebecca Burkett; and her great grandchildren, Dakota Shane Thompson and Alora Jill Burkett. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
