She was predeceased by: her parents, Doris Robinson Schultz and Joseph James Singleton IV; her husband Walton Thomas Carter, Jr.; and her son Thomas Bernard Carter. She is survived by: her children, Len (Melissa Carter), Trav (Judy Carter), Robin (Richard Coleman) and Joe (Paige Carter); her grandchildren, Dori Carter of Ft. Worth, Texas, Aldine, Kyle Warner of Naylor, Ben Carter of Chicago, Illinois, Elizabeth Carter of Atlanta, Rick, Katherine Coleman of Macon and Catherine Coleman of Valdosta; and her great grandchildren, Bowen, Maddox Warner and Walt Coleman.

In lieu of flowers, donations to Christ Episcopal Church or Hospice of South Georgia would be appreciated.
