He is survived by: his wife Phyllis Whitley Shaw; his children, Kareen Massey, Trevor Shaw (Stacy) and Derek Shaw (Michele); his grandchildren, Jamie Simmons (Melvin) of Lenox, Blake Taylor (Tiffany) of Brunswick, Savannah Dasher (Travis), Meredith Marsh (Matt) of Louisville, KY, Tyson Shaw (Halle), Ashley Phillips (Micah), Amber Betts (Palmer) of Hahira and Grayson Moffet of Atlanta; his great grandchildren, Jase, Jude, Jed Simmons, Hallie, Hayden Phillips, Avery Dasher and Bella Betts; his siblings, Cleveland Shaw (Gail) and Gwenette Farmer; and his sister-in-law Sylvia Shaw.
