He was predeceased by: his parents, James Clayton Lovett and Ethel Lovett (Bryan); and his brothers, John Lovett and Hubert Lovett. He is survived by: his wife Barbara Strickland Lovett of Valdosta, Georgia; his children, Jamie Lovett (Jamie Leigh) of Hoschton, Georgia and Rhonda Arnold (Lee) of Valdosta, Georgia; his grandchildren, Blake Highfill, Hayley Highfill and Matthew Lovett; and his sisters, Mary Alice Nesmith, Merle Moore, Robbie Nell Futch and Jean Lewis. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews.
Visitation was held on Monday, March 10th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Music Funeral Services - Valdosta (3831 N Valdosta Rd, Valdosta, GA 31602). An entombment was held on Tuesday, March 11th 2025 at the Riverview Memorial Gardens (3945 N Valdosta Rd, Valdosta, GA 31602). The military honors was held on Tuesday, March 11th 2025 at the same location.
