He is survived by: his wife Kharen Ricks of Valdosta, Georgia; his children, Toby James Ricks, Steven Joel Ricks of Doerun and Melissa Marie Russell (Jimmy) of Atlanta; his grandchildren, Kayla, Dylan, Steven and Aiden; his great grandchildren, Ava, Cambria and Ariel; his caregiver Ebony Copeland of Valdosta, Georgia.; and his siblings, Delphy Lane, Julius Ricks, Virginia Edge, Lorece Taylor, Andrew James Ricks, Johnnie Lassiter and Madelyn Cheek. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews.
