He was predeceased by: his mother Mary Waters; his daughter Jessica Shaver; and his parents-in-law, Jewel Pafford and Jody Pafford. He is survived by: his wife Debi Kent Waters of Valdosta, Georgia; his daughter Renee Spencer (Jeremy) of Monroe, Georgia; his adoptive daughters, Lexy Ethridge of Valdosta and Grace Shaver of Valdosta, Georgia; his grandchildren, Alex Spencer of Alpharetta and Thomas Spencer (Cheyenne) of Jacksonville, Florida; his great grandchild Raelynn Ethridge of Valdosta, GA; his siblings, Chris Porchiazzo (Vince) of Starke, Florida and Rowdy Waters (Libby) of Lake City; his brother-in-law Sammie Kent of Lake Park, Georgia; his nephew Richard Kent of Valdosta, GA; and his half-siblings, Walter Parsons (Jay Parsons) of Tennessee, Melanie Smith of St. Mary's and Jennifer Parsons-Licht of Oregon. He is also survived by numerous nephews, nieces.
