With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Irene Carter of Valdosta, Georgia, who passed away on December 25, 2020 at the age of 102. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Arthur Johns and Mary Collier Johns; her husband Tommie Carter; her son Raymond M. Carter; and her daughter-in-law Sequita Carter.

She is survived by: her children, Douglas Carter of Valdosta, GA and Vivian C. Harper of Valdosta, GA; her granddaughters, Valerie Harper of Valdosta, GA and Amanda Harper of Mankato, MN; her stepgrandsons, Roy Brown (Brad) of Atlanta, GA and Troy Brown of Valdosta, GA; and her great grandchildren, Tamia Odum (Josh) of Wake Forest, NC, Brandon Ling of Charlotte, NC and Chansang Ling (Chan) of Charlotte, NC.

All those who wish to pay their respect in person must wear a mask during the visitation and at the graveside service.
