He is survived by: his wife Jessie Halstead Dorsey of Valdosta; his sons, Matterson (Heather Dorsey) and Rex Dorsey of Dahlonega; his grandchildren, Jake and Addyson Dorsey of Valdosta; his siblings-in-law, Sam Zamarripa of Dahlonega, Myra of Hawkinsville, Bill Hurst of Hawkinsville and Patricia Southwell of Hawkinsville; and his nieces and nephews, Eva Z. Gonzalez (Eduardo) of Atlanta, Jane Z. Garcia (Nicolas) of Atlanta, Hall Hurst (Cindy) of Warner Robins and P. K. Hurst (Kimberly) of Hawkinsville. He is also survived by numerous great nieces, nephews, cousins.
