It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Gloria Jean Shivers (Valdosta, Georgia), who passed away on January 8, 2021, at the age of 71, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Ansel Tucker and Luneal Greggs Tucker; and her husband Harry Otis Shivers, Sr.. She is survived by: her children, Alfrie Johnson (Tonya), Naressia Shivers Billington (Lawrence) and Harry Shivers Jr. (TaRhonda); her stepdaughters, Sharlene Davis (Ervin), Alicia Marks Evans (Samuel), Aldrena Davis Kitchens and Wanda Thomas; her siblings, Mary Alice Bolton (Calvin), Angela Register (late Frank), Anderson Tucker (Geraldine) and Larry Tucker; her siblings-in-law, Caroline Jones, Mozetta Shivers (late Thomas), Mary Shivers, Debra Holly, Georgia Ann Porter, Victoria Hill, Charlie James Copeland (Sonya) and Roy Copeland (Patricia); and her close friends, Mary Lou Copeland, Julianna Bamfo, Latrell, Vashell Williams, Mary Bailey and Christine Williams. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins and blessed friends.
