He was predeceased by: his mother Lillie Mae Creamer Rudd; his brothers, Bobby Rudd and Henry Rudd; his parents-in-law, Nita and Frank Weeks; his brother-in-law Wyndall Peavy; his cousin John I Creamer; and his pets, Lady and Smoky.
He is survived by: his wife Jane Weeks Rudd of Valdosta, Georgia; his daughter Jennifer Rudd of Valdosta, Georgia; his cousin Bonnie Bernard (Randy) of Elijah, Georgia; and his sisters-in-law, Betty S. Rudd of Valdosta, Frances Peavy of Valdosta and Donna Carney (John) of Valdosta, Georgia. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
