It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Frances Wood of Valdosta, Georgia, born in Wauchula, Florida, who passed away on May 28, 2024, at the age of 77, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, George Earl and Lillar Matilda Jenkins Tindell. She is survived by: her husband Tom Wood of Valdosta, Georgia; her grandchildren, Amanda Bissette, Taylor, Ana Hodges, Faith, Hayden Hawthorne, Reed, Jamie Valdez, Noel Valdez, Logan Davis, Rose Valdez, Judah Ramirez, Charleigh Wood, Cagen Wood, Kyler Kiesling and Kolton Kiesling; her great grandchildren, Ripp Nuccio, Mattis Hawthorne and Charlie Hawthorne; and her nephew David Tindell. She is also survived by numerous other nieces, nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family will be honoring Frances by donating to future students at Valdosta State University. Clyattville First Baptist Church will be assisting with this and you can make a donation to Clyattville First Baptist Church with Frances Wood Scholarship as the subject line.
