She was predeceased by: her parents, Bertie Elma (Stone) and James "Jim" Aaron Bennett; and her siblings, Pat Bennett, Grover Bennett, Bill Bennett, Doug Bennett, Jim "Bug" Bennett, Jr. and Shirley Hughes.

She is survived by: her husband Lawrence Zeigler of Mayday, GA; her daughter Brenda; her son-in-law Richard Whitman of Mayday, GA; her sons, Ricky (Debbie Zeigler) and Leon (Cindy Zeigler); her grandchildren, Andy Reid (Stacy), Kim Henderson (Dennis), Stephanie Burnham (Michael), Rick Zeigler (Mollie), Shannon Bennett, Brandi Harvey (Will), Jami Zeigler (Jenna) and Carmen Zeigler (Mitch); her stepgrandchildren, Dan Barnes (Jessica) and Casey Kohl (Emily); and her sisters-in-law, Janie Doris Bennett of Stockton, GA and Maureen Bennett of Cape Cod, MA. She is also survived by 21 great grandchildren; 1 great great granddaughter; 2 step grandchildren.

“Mrs. Ernestine was my second mama growing up in Mayday. Oh the memories I have because of this woman. She was on my mind and heart yesterday afternoon. God has taken another precious soul home. I loved her so very much., as I grew older and had my own family I didn't get to see her very much but she was always in my heart. She enriched my life with love, laughter and FOOD!!!! May God wrap his arms of peace and understanding around her family at this time. I love y'all. Deborah F. Moss”
