Edgar Lewis Cox Obituary

With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Edgar Lewis Cox of Valdosta, Georgia, born in Pierson, Florida, who passed away on November 4, 2024 at the age of 92. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Jim Cox and Pearl Owen Cox; his daughter-in-law Jo Karon Cox; and his grandson-in-law Chris Butler. He is survived by: his wife Betty Cook Cox of Valdosta; his children, Gary (Heidi Schroer Cox), Jeff (Bebe Allen Cox), Mark (Cel Cox) and Pat; his son-in-law Gregg Ray of Nashville; and his grandchildren, Erik Cox (Lori), Heather Neel (Will), Seth Ray (Katie), Brittany Wiggins (Jason), Hailey Collins (Alex), Sarah Cox, Eirin Cox and Amanda Cox. He is also survived by 12 great grandchildren and 3 great great-grandchildren.

Flowers will be accepted, or donations may be made to the Northside Baptist Church Building Fund.
