He was predeceased by: his parents, Alton Lamar Lumpkin and Clyde Lois Lunsford; his sons, Tommy Lumpkin and Terry Lumpkin; his grandchildren, Layla Lumpkin and T. J. Lumpkin; and his siblings, J. W. Lumpkin, Bobby Lumpkin and Carolyn Lunsford.
He is survived by: his wife Jewell E. Lumpkin of Valdosta; and his grandchildren, Chairty McCurdy, Eric Lumpkin, Erin Smith, Kristin Lumpkin, Melissa High and Tabitha Lumpkin. He is also survived by several great grandchildren; and one great great grandchild.
