He is survived by: his wife Jerry McGoogan Powers of Valdosta; his son Charles Morris Powers, III of Hiawassee, GA; and his grandchildren, Eleanor Powers of Athens and David Charles Chamberlain (Samantha McLoughlin) of Atlanta.
