He was predeceased by: his parents, James Edward and Lillie Mae Bussey Black; his son Eric Edward Black; his father-in-law William Clarence Rowan; his brother-in-law William Derryl Rowan; and his mother-in-law Lillian Thomas Rowan.
He is survived by: his wife Alacia Rowan Black; his children, Chance Edward Black, Dana Black Rowland and Ferran Edward Black (Brandy Pringle Henderson); his brothers, Ellis Black (Aletha) and Larry Black (Faye); his grandchildren, Jordan Thomas Black, Haley Brooke Henderson, Mason Edward Rowland, Joshua Gauge Henderson, James Edward Rowland and Samuel Caden Black; his great grandchild Camille Elise Black; and his sisters-in-law, Patsy Devane Yeomans, Teresa Rowan Johnson, Pam Rowan Wise and Donna Rowan Connell. He is also survived by grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, and adored friends.
