He was predeceased by: his parents, John Austin Barker and Martha Agnes Murphy Barker; his wife Melba Murphy Barker; his daughter Tracey Barker; his grandson Thomas Barker; and his sisters, Janice Lasseter and Annette "Tootsie" Pettyjohn.
He is survived by: his sons, Billy Wayne (Kathy Barker) of Valdosta and Randy Keith Barker of Valdosta; his granddaughter Mallorie (S. J. Merchant) of Valdosta; and his siblings, Wayne Barker of Columbus, Georgia, Joleta Atkinson of Adel, Georgia. and Barbara Ray of Adel, Georgia..
Visitation was held on Sunday, December 8th 2024 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Boone Funeral Home (1804 S Hutchinson Ave, Adel, GA 31620). A funeral service was held on Monday, December 9th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the Chapel of Boone Funeral Home, Inc. (1804 S Hutchinson Ave, Adel, GA 31620). A burial was held on Monday, December 9th 2024 at 2:45 PM at the Woodlawn Memorial Gardens (8879 Val Del Rd, Adel, GA 31620).
