It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Bertha Mae Moody (Valdosta, Georgia), who passed away on January 2, 2021, at the age of 82, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Eugene Baker and Ruthie Mae Baker; her children, Lamarian Burgess and Faith Brown; and her siblings, Coy Bell, Elmon William, Lillian Wright, Walter Baker and Carol Baker.
She is survived by: her children, Rickey Jenkins (Brinda) of St. Mary's, GA, Umar Ahmad Baker of Chicago, IL, Johnny Crook of Dallas, TX and Hope Baker-Morrow (Timothy) of Brandon, FL; her sisters, Gloria Elliott, Ida Hankins of Valdosta, GA and Priscilla of Conyers, GA.; and her godchildren, Sabrinna Flucas (Bernard) of Valdosta, GA, Marva Frazier (Garnell) of Valdosta, GA and Howard Golden (Pinkie) of Quitman, GA. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, foster-children and friends.
All those who wish to pay their respect in person must wear a mask during visitation and at the gravesite.
