It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Anita Ruth Elder of Valdosta, Georgia, born in Winter Haven, Florida, who passed away on September 26, 2021, at the age of 98, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her husband Philip Ikeler Elder; her parents, Russell Bretz Linger and Ada Beatrice Baughman; and her siblings, Patricia Swaine, Joanne Gardner and Russell Bretz Linger, Jr. of Pensacola, FL..

She is survived by: her son Philip Robert Elder of Valdosta; her grandchildren, Stephanie Parks, Scott Elder and Stacey Elder Valdez; and her brother Wilmon Newell Linger of Smiths Grove, KY.. She is also survived by three great grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, donations would be deeply appreciated to Park Avenue United Methodist Church.
