She was predeceased by: her parents, Thomas Eifel Hatcher (T. E.) and Hettye Lee Kirkland Hatcher; her husband George Lang Shelton, Jr.; her daughter Becky Allen; and her siblings, Nelle Curtright, Charles Hatcher, Paul Hatcher, Martha Ellen Grudzien, David Hatcher, Robert Hatcher, Emory Hatcher, Bettye Nichols and Jack Hatcher.
She is survived by: her daughters, Lynn Shelton and Claire (Hank Lee); her grandchildren, Anna Lee of Valdosta, Bill (Rebecca Parramore), Todd (Deidre Parramore), Laurie (John Duane), David, Jr., Ashley Drumheller of Pope, Robert Daugharty of Valdosta, George (Rebecca Daugharty), Virginia and Jonathan Allen of Tampa, Florida; and her sister-in-law Gene Hatcher. She is also survived by 15 great-grandchildren and 4 great-great-grandchildren.
